The project has enhanced environmental literacy of the general public. Thanks to educational exchange of experiences about the environment and programs of creative leadership, environmental conservation volunteers and related personnel are able to show their unity, what they have learned, and how they have grown. The project is consisted of three parts: Exchange of Experiences on Environmental Education, Environmental Education and Creative Leadership Program, and Operations on Social Media (Facebook group EE Friends and LINE official account EEtouching). From October 16th to 17th, a total of 40 environmental conservation volunteers and environmental education related personnel from 20 counties/cities across Taiwan gathered in Tainan City to be a part of the Exchange of Experiences on Environmental Education. After visiting environmental educational sights, the attendees were put into seven groups and each was required to come up with a cross-county/city green travel plan. Meanwhile, inviting a travel blogger to join the trip and posted an article on his own platform. Then shared the article with giveaways on social media platforms and placed online advertisements to promote environmental education and green travel. A total of 60 attendees came together for the Environmental Education and Creative Leadership Program held in the National Center for Traditional Arts, Yilan Park from August 28th to 29th. Attendees are all in the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) and its subordinate organizations who are either non-supervisory personnel in the senior rank or division chiefs and captains. Through the program speaker’s experience sharing and explanation on marketing strategies, the attendees are able to gain knowledge beyond his/her professional competencies which will allow them to combine the two and have diversified and innovative growth in the future. From March 10th to November 30th, we have been active on our social media platform, Facebook group EE Friends and LINE official account EEtouching. Across the two platforms, we organized ten environmental educational events that are related to EPA policies, trending topics, and holidays/festivals. During the period, the two platforms welcomed 8,264 new members from different groups of people.
